Why Install VineHeat Roof and Gutter De-icing?

Ice dams can cause water ingress into a roof, physical damage to the structure, or a safety hazard due to ice falling onto unexpected pedestrians below.

Roof De-icing save money and be at ease

SAFE

VineHeat electric de-icing systems efficiently prevent excess snow and ice build-up on roofs and in gutters and downspouts. No need to climb on a ladder or the roof to clear snow and ice from the roof.

ECONOMICAL

Excess snow and ice can create leaks in roofs and exterior walls, resulting in costly repairs, inside and out. A small investment in our heating wires can mean long-term savings.

DURABLE

The waterproof cable is made of twin-core conductors within in XLPE (cross-linking polyethylene) wrapped with tinned copper wire braid, and protected with waterproof PVC with a UV inhibitor.

Solve snowpak on Your Roof

1
Snow Accumulation
Don't underestimate the weight of snow on your roof. Ignored snow buildup can lead to structural strain and compromise the integrity of your home.
2
Ice Dams
As snow melts and refreezes, ice dams can form along the edges of the roof. These barriers prevent proper drainage and cause water to back up, leading to potential leaks and damage to the roof and interior of your home.
3
Roof Collapse
Excessive snow load can overwhelm the structural integrity of your roof, increasing the risk of collapse. This can result in severe damage to your property and put the safety of occupants at risk.
4
Gutters and Downspouts
Snow and ice can obstruct gutters and downspouts, preventing proper water drainage. This can lead to water backups, ice formation, and potential damage to the gutters, fascia, and foundation of your home.

Take proactive steps to protect your home:

  • Regularly remove snow from your roof using safe methods or hire professionals for roof de-icing to prevent ice dams and promote proper drainage.
  • Install roof heating systems or de-icing cables to prevent ice dams and protect against roof collapse.
  • Clear gutters and downspouts of any snow or ice buildup through roof de-icing to ensure proper water flow and prevent damage to your home’s exterior.

By taking these preventive measures and implementing roof de-icing, you can avoid the costly consequences of snow buildup on your roof and ensure the safety and integrity of your home throughout the winter season.

How does Electric Heating Cable work ?

Vineheat suggests the implementation of constant wattage heating cables along the roofline, within the gutter system, and encompassing all downspouts as a proactive measure against ice dam formation. By strategically applying heat to these key zones, the objective is to maintain a steady flow of water, thereby safeguarding residences and businesses from the potential harm caused by ice accumulation and snow-related issues.

The Electric Heating Cable is designed for installation on inclined roofs with noncombustible tab shingles(such as asphalt shingles), metal or plastic gutter ,downspouts, and valleys providing a clear path for water to drain.
